John Durante

For more than 20 years, John Durante has served dozens of clients in the health care, pharmaceutical and business-to-business sectors. He brings deep expertise in strategic marketing, market research and business communications to provide distinctive client value to every WordWrite engagement.

As senior associate for WordWrite, John applies his skills and experiences in working with clients to develop sophisticated strategies that address their most sensitive marketing and public relations needs.

For more than two years, John has been a catalyst in the development of the WordWrite StoryCraftingSM service, working with Paul Furiga to remake the public relations business by creating a new collaborative process that is solidly constructed on the ageless power of storytelling. StoryCrafting helps clients by telling factual, authentic stories and by reliably measuring audience response to ensure business communication objectives are achieved.

With Paul, John has recently authored the white paper, "Tales Worth Telling: How the Ageless Power of Storytelling Drives Business Success". Along with Paul, John also is a lead strategist for clients in the important Phase I component of StoryCrafting.

Over his career, John has held multiple positions in marketing, on both the service and client sides. This included a stint as vice president of business relations at Des Moines General Hospital in Iowa. In addition, John has also worked for consulting groups ranging from the television consultancy Frank N. Magid to The Fitting Group, a Pittsburgh advertising agency. His career has included professional stints in Denver and Knoxville, Tenn., as well as Des Moines, Iowa and Pittsburgh.

John is a graduate of the Washington State University with a Bachelor of Science in communication and sociology (1983) and a Master of Arts in sociology (1985). John's association with higher education has included several teaching assignments, most recently at LaRoche College in Pittsburgh, where he taught market research to undergraduates.
