As the spring public relations intern, Leah assists the WordWrite team by creating press releases, newsletters, web posts and producing ideas for client projects. Additionally, Leah works on WordWrite’s social media program, developing content and executing a variety of strategies.

Leah has two previous internships to which she can accredit her skills. Before joining WordWrite, she was a development and special events intern at the National Kidney Foundation. There, she was a leader in organizing the Kidney Gift of Life Gala, the organization’s premier annual event. Before that, at Murray Avenue Apothecary, Leah designed and wrote a monthly newsletter and created a social media and marketing plan for the company.

Currently a senior at the University of Pittsburgh, Leah will obtain a dual-degree in marketing and nonfiction writing this spring. She has written a bi-weekly column for The Pitt News for the past three years and is involved in the Fashion Business Association.

Although she considers herself a Pittsburgh girl, Leah is originally from New Castle where she frequently visits to spend time with her family. She enjoys rooting for the Panthers and other Pittsburgh sports teams, playing with her Pomeranian, Louie, and relaxing with her sister and brother-in-law on the weekends.
