Bob De Witt photoBob De Witt has told stories over the airwaves and for nonprofits for more than a quarter century. At WordWrite, he shares the unique, authentic stories of our clients through the news media.

De Witt previously served as Director of Marketing and Communications for the Boy Scouts of America/Greater Pittsburgh Council. In 2005, he told the story of a local Cub Scout who set a national record by selling 10 tons of popcorn, generating news coverage in 39 U.S. cities and on three television networks.

Beginning in 1999, De Witt was media spokesman for United Way of Allegheny County and created messages and materials that helped raise $187 million in six campaigns.

De Witt covered local campaign stops in four presidential elections and interviewed national and world figures, including Margaret Thatcher, Norman Schwarzkopf and Gerald Ford.

His investigative reporting into political corruption drove a city manager from Benton Harbor, Mich., and he broke the story of a deadly bus-truck crash on the NYS Thruway, reporting live on WCBS-AM/New York.

A golf enthusiast, De Witt has covered five major championships and a Ryder Cup, interviewing Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Jack Nicklaus and other PGA stars.
