In
addition to her role as chief financial officer for WordWrite, Brenda
has built a broad and comprehensive career of more than two decades
in marketing, public relations and publishing.
Brenda began her career at what is today one of the world's largest
B2B marketing agencies, HSR Business to Business. Transitioning from
agency work, Brenda worked in marketing during the mid 1980s for some
of the biggest names in American business, including the start-up
teams for Donnelly Information Publishing's "Talking Yellow Pages"
project and Leaseway Transportation's less-than-truckload division.
From the client side, Brenda moved into marketing for nonprofits,
including the Construction Specifications Institute, where she supervised
production and marketing of the respected SPEC-DATA
suite of printed and electronic programs used by architects and construction
specifiers around the world to select building products.
Brenda returned to agencies in the early 1990s, working as a manager
with the Alexandria, Va. public relations firm, Mitchell Peterson,
with clients including the Aseptic Packaging Council.
As a cofounder of WordWrite, with husband Paul, Brenda maintains an
active roster of clients who seek her practiced eye and understanding
of all varieties of collateral for editing and proofreading. Among
her clients are University of Pittsburgh Marketing Communications, Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh and Duquesne University.
