As
vice president for WordWrite, Jason's breadth and depth of experience
are instrumental in helping our clients manage and solve the myriad
communications issues they face today. Throughout his career, Jason
has worked with a wide range of businesses and organizations, including
Mellon Financial Corporation, Alcoa, Butler Health System, and the
Oncology Nursing Society.
At Mellon, where he was part of the Corporate Communications Team
before coming to WordWrite, Jason was charged with helping to reinvent
the Fortune 500 company's employee communications. He
did just that, bolstering credibility through improved storytelling
and employee engagement. Working closely with senior management, he
crafted internal communications that supported Mellon's key messages
and helped employees to better understand the company's strategy.
At the same time, Jason worked with the media and the public to raise
their level of awareness of Mellon's charitable work in the community.
Prior to his work with Mellon, Jason used his daily newspaper reporting
background to support public and media relations efforts as well as
employee communications for Butler Health System. As the health system
worked toward the possibility of construction of a new flagship hospital
in the face of significant community opposition, Jason helped to tell
its positive story of growth to the public, media and its employees
through town hall meetings, the Internet, community-directed publications
and internal communications.
At Alcoa, Jason enhanced his electronic communications skills, working
with the Internet Technology Team and Corporate Communications to
develop, enhance and maintain a comprehensive, multi-lingual Web site
featuring hundreds of Alcoa products, along with its businesses and
worldwide regions. As a copy editor and writer for the Oncology Nursing
Society and a reporter for two Western Pennsylvania dailies, Jason
developed the solid foundation on which his communications skills
are built.
He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor's
degree in journalism and is active with the Pittsburgh Chapter of
the Public Relations Society of America.
