Miles Ritenour
Virtual Intern

Miles Ritenour joined the WordWrite team as its first-ever virtual intern in January 2010. As virtual intern, Miles aids the staff in and out of the office in telling great stories through writing, research, social media and search engine optimization tasks. He is a native of Latrobe, Pa. and is currently a senior at Point Park University, where he will earn a degree in advertising and public relations in May 2010.

Miles brings with him a wealth of previous internship experience with a diverse group of organizations. He has spent time with Smith Brothers Advertising, LP, The City of Pittsburgh Ethics Hearing Board, The South Side Local Development Company and Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. In addition to his current internship with WordWrite he is also interning with the Pittsburgh Penguins media relations department.

During his time at Point Park, Miles has been involved in several on-campus activities including being an active member of the Student American Advertising Federation and Public Relations Student Society of America as well The Globe student newspaper and The Pioneer student magazine.

He has also showcased his PR and marketing skills on the national stage at the 2009 National Student Advertising Competition. Miles and a team of Point Park students competed with students from colleges across the country to create a comprehensive integrated marketing communications campaign for The Century Council in May 2009.

Miles has been a member of the Dean’s list every semester while at Point Park and was the recipient of the Public Relations Society of America / Bob O’Gara Student Scholarship Award.
