As a young girl, Hollie admired newswomen like Joan Lunden, Diane Sawyer, Connie Chung and Jane Pauley and even dreamed of doing the same thing one day. Her career choice took a turn in college when she learned about the power of public relations. For more than 20 years Hollie has held various internal and external communications roles in both the corporate and non-profit sectors and in industries ranging from health care and energy to tourism and manufacturing. A natural storyteller and award-winning communicator, Hollie has a passion for helping a company uncover, develop and share their great, untold Story.

As vice president for WordWrite Communications, Hollie leads client account teams and oversees sales and marketing for the growing firm, now the largest independent PR firm in Pittsburgh. 

Hollie joined the WordWrite team in 2011 after four years as vice president of marketing and communications with the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership (PDP). Her primary responsibilities included promoting and marketing Downtown Pittsburgh as the region’s premier destination to live, work, play and do business. Hollie participated on the planning committees for some of the most high-profile events in the Pittsburgh region, including the Pittsburgh 250 Celebration in 2008 and the G-20 Pittsburgh Summit in 2009 as well as handling public relations activities for Downtown's historic Market Square. In 2010 she was responsible for planning, executing, marketing, and advertising the 50th Anniversary of Light Up Night® Weekend, which drew a record crowd of nearly 600,000 and generated $21 million in economic impact over the course of the holiday shopping season.

Prior to her work with the PDP, Hollie managed communications for Allegheny Energy’s workforce of more than 4,000 employees in 72 locations. Working directly with the CEO and senior executives, Hollie established a quarterly LIVE employee webcast. She also participated on the company’s wellness and employee engagement committees, managed content for PassPort, Allegheny Energy’s intranet portal system, and served as a company spokesperson on a on-call rotation and during storm outages. 

Hollie began her career in the corporate communications department of Pennsylvania Blue Shield, which later became Highmark Inc. She handled media and public relations work for Pittsburgh-based Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield and its national dental, vision and life and casualty subsidiaries.

A graduate of Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania where she earned a degree in communications/journalism, Hollie was recognized as a 40 Under 40 Honoree by Pittsburgh Magazine and the Pittsburgh Urban Magnet Project in 2013.

She is a member of the Women's Leadership Council of the United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania, a charity half marathon runner for Light of Life Rescue Mission and volunteers regularly at her children's school. She resides in the North Hills of Pittsburgh with her husband, Mike, and her children, Preston and Peryn. When she isn't coordinating family schedules and activities, she enjoys running, taking on new craft projects, going on beach vacations and checking things off her bucket list. Her most recent adventures? Sky diving and aerial yoga.
