Jeremy is a communications and public relations professional with more than 20 years experience at two newspapers, a private boarding school, a fine arts organization and a professional services organization.
As a partner in the firm, as well as in his capacity as vice president of media and content strategies, he is responsible for the development, execution and management of strategies for clients operating in the manufacturing, health care and professional services industries, as well as for organizations engaged in active public affairs campaigns.
He also helps direct overall client portfolio strategies to help companies earn exposure with the target audiences they want to reach and influence.
As a media relations strategist and tactician, he specializes in long and short-form writing, editing, media relations and website content management. During his time at WordWrite, he has helped earn local, regional and national results for clients in publications and outlets including The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Forbes, U.S. News & World Report, Fox Business Network, multiple ABC, CBS and NBC affiliates, the Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Sun-Times, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review and the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.
In his previous account supervisor role at WordWrite, he led day-to-day media relations and content creation strategy for multiple clients across a wide variety of business sectors.
Jeremy joined WordWrite in 2011 from the marketing and business development department at law firm Burns White LLC. There, he assisted the firm’s nearly 100 attorneys in developing new business by identifying speaking, writing and media opportunities that would help establish them as thought leaders within their practice areas. He also handled media relations and managed the firm’s website and social media program, which was one of the first of its kind within the Pittsburgh corporate law community.
Prior to Burns White, Jeremy spent nearly two years managing all media relations and print advertising for nationally-renowned musical theater producer Pittsburgh CLO and six years in charge of public relations at Culver Academies, one of the country’s most prestigious private boarding schools.
He began his career as a sports writer in suburban Columbus, Ohio, earning numerous writing awards at both The Marion Star and ThisWeek Community Newspapers. Jeremy’s work appeared in dozens of daily and weekly newspapers, most notably The Canton (Ohio) Repository, The Columbus Dispatch and Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
He graduated cum laude from Ohio University’s E.W. Scripps School of Journalism and is a member of the Kappa Tau Alpha National Journalism Honor Society. Prior to transferring to Ohio as a junior, Jeremy earned two varsity letters for the NCAA Division III men's hockey team at Hobart (NY) College.
Jeremy played more than 15 years at the USA Hockey AAA, varsity high school, prep school, Junior A and collegiate levels, with and against dozens of Division I college players, NHL draft picks and professionals.
He is a Level 4 USA Hockey certified coach with 16 years experience, including six years coaching and recruiting for Culver Military Academy, one of the top prep school hockey programs in the country. Eight of his former players at Culver went on to earn Division I scholarships, two were drafted in the National Hockey League and one reached the NHL with the Los Angeles Kings in 2016.
A former varsity head coach at Shady Side Academy, Jeremy also spent five years as an assistant coach with the Mt. Lebanon High School varsity program. He currently coaches for the Mt. Lebanon Hornets youth program.
