WordWrite honored as one of Pittsburgh’s 50 fastest-growing companies

Pittsburgh (August 29, 2019)WordWrite, the largest independent public relations agency in the Pittsburgh region, just keeps getting bigger.

The agency was recognized as one of the Fast 50 — the 50 fastest-growing companies in the region — by the Pittsburgh Business Times for 2019, ranking 29th on the list and collecting the honor Wednesday during an event hosted at Rivers Casino.

With growth of more than 61 percent from 2016 to 2018, WordWrite is one of the ten highest-grossing public relations firms in the Pittsburgh region. Over its history, the agency has grown an average of 15 percent each year, and in addition to the Fast 50 award, WordWrite is consistently ranked among the fastest-growing independentpublic relations firms nationally by respected trade publication “O’Dwyer’s.”

“The past two years have been a big inflection point for our agency,” said Paul Furiga, who founded WordWrite in 2002. “We owe it to our team of talented strategists and specialists who work hard to share our clients’ Capital S stories, as well as our trusted partners and our great clients. As we continue to grow, we’re eager to see what the rest of 2019 will look like and where 2020 will take us.”

The growth isn’t only financial, either. The agency recently debuted a new brand and moved into a new 5,000 sq. ft. office in the historic Alcoa Building at 611 William Penn Place. With the new space 60 percent larger than WordWrite’s previous office, the extra leg room allows the agency to add to its team of 12 employees, as well as a client roster that includes Fortune 50 companies, well-known Pittsburgh corporations and nonprofits.
