As an account supervisor at WordWrite, Robin believes in the power of PR. Whether working on client project or volunteering with a non-profit, she loves acting as a brand journalist to identify an organization’s interesting stories. Robin’s favorite part about PR is not when she gets a media placement – it’s when someone contacts her about an article they read and want to learn more, whether to buy a product, donate or attend an event. That’s the true power of PR.
Prior to joining WordWrite, Robin was the director of public relations at Veterans Leadership Program of Western Pennsylvania, a regional nonprofit organization for military veterans. Through a variety of communications tools, Robin shared the stories of many veterans, which led to an increase in social media followers, donors and volunteers. Her previous experience includes Jampole Communications, the Pittsburgh Pirates and the office of Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald.
Robin graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and Spanish from Duquesne University in 2012. She is currently working towards her Master of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications at West Virginia University.
In her spare time, Robin serves on the Board of Directors for the Pittsburgh chapter of Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) as Professional Development Day co-chair and as Membership Secretary for Duquesne University’s Young Alumni Council. When she’s not planning her next big trip to Europe, you can find her out and about in the city. She loves going to live shows, sports games and kayaking.
