Every fall, spring and summer semester, WordWrite seeks to hire talented and self-motivated students who are looking for a deeper understanding of the communications field and to make an impact in public relations or digital marketing.

Our interns aren’t go-fers subjected to busy work and coffee runs. They work on engaging projects, gaining hands-on public relations agency experience through diverse tasks for our B2B and B2C clients, and our flexible and fun environment means they’re a valued member of the team even as a part-timer. 

We typically offer two opportunities: a PR internship and a multimedia internship.

Our PR intern works closely with account supervisors and brand journalist to learn account management, strategic communication and media relations. Students practice the art of writing pitches, press releases and media relations while strengthening content creation and creative thinking skills.

Our multimedia intern helps execute digital marketing campaigns by putting their design skills to work. We look for candidates with strong experience in web and graphic design and video production to support our digital team.


  • Be a college junior or senior majoring in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism or a related course of study (undergraduate students only).
  • Commit to a flexible schedule determined by you and our internship coordinator.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of PR fundamentals and ability to put them to use.
  • Have real experience in social media (managing non-personal accounts).
  • Have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Adobe software experience a plus).
  • Have excellent writing skills and knowledge of AP Style.
